NDG Baseball’s 7th Annual Robert & Steve Michelin Memorial Baseball Tournament, which began with a game featuring Carey Ashton’s NDG Junior Lynx and the Kingston Colts at Loyola-1 Park in NDG, was a huge success.

The game began with the Junior Lynx loading the bases and stranding the runners. The Colts took a 4 run lead by answering back in the bottom of the 1st. As the game progressed the Junior Lynx dominated the Colts – final score NDG Junior Lynx 30 – Kingston Colts 4

Hosted by NDG Minor Baseball, the tournament is geared toward 13-14 year olds. The teams that competed are:

Derby, Vermont

Kingston, ON

Drummondville, QC

NDG Junior Lynx

This tournament was started in 2004 to commemorate the excellent service of two devoted volunteer coaches. Both brothers passed away during the 2003 and 2004 seasons to the disease Cystic Fibrosis. This tournament is our way of thanking both brothers for their years of service.
