She has had major appeal and success over the years, releasing album after album of incredible music with a voice that could charm fish from the sea. Her distaste for flying, however, has resulted in her North American fans
being forced to appreciate her from afar.
Well, no more! Causing waves across the North American folk scene, Rusby has planned a very brief Canadian tour and Montreal’s very own Hello Darlin’ Productions has pulled off a minor coup by signing her on to play here.
To each of her songs, she brings the quality of constancy. Some have only just been written, but sound as if they might have been handed down through generation after generation for a couple of centuries or more. Kate Rusby has a sincere ability to tell a simple, down home story in a song and make your heart ache for it. Not to be missed!

The show is slated for Thursday, March 11, at the Cabaret Juste Pour Rire (2111 St-Laurent) at 8 p.m. Tickets are $35.
