View from the Bridge exposes life in a 1950s Italian-American neighbourhood living in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge. Gritty and true to the times, a tight-knit community bursts from undercurrents of jealousy, self-deception and mistrust, with tragic results.

Director Terry Donald explains his choice of this enduring piece, "Arthur Miller is a great storyteller, a wordsmith, a master of the craft. I remember the first time I read the play I couldn't put it down." He continues, “Based on a tale related to Miller sometime before he decided to write the play, the story of Eddie Carbone, a longshoreman who lives in the Red Hook district of Brooklyn, reveals how strongly a passion can drive us. It is a wondrous tale, a cautionary tale. Eddie is an ordinary man driven by an extraordinary obsession."

A View From the Bridge is a special play for Adam LeBlanc (Eddie Carbone). For LeBlanc, the play allows him to look closely at what it means to be a human being, and how sometimes, social conformity can challenge raw emotions. “The one thing I hope people take away from the show is that, as human beings we are all capable of great acts, whether good or bad, and before one judges somebody else, it might not be a bad idea to take the time to recognize oneself in the subject in question.”
